The Self-Reflexive Mediator

Presented by Bill Hewlett

Cases of parents/children who suicide through Family Law difficulties. Can they be prevented?

The Family Law environment is, as we know, fraught with highly distressed parents and their children. Separated parents will often complain of a system that seems unconcerned and oblivious to their private, internal traumas, which can lead them to consider the dire possibility of suicide.

David Rollinson seminar at ADRA

More high rise apartments and town house complexes means more people closer together, and that's a recipe for conflict. Mediation has a role here, but is the process and the outcomes of any real value to those concerned.

David Rollinson trained and began mediating in 1983 with Community Justice Centres. His mediation and facilitation experience includes couple and family, neighbour and community, planning and development and strata living disputes. David has been a conciliator of health complaints and was the 'mediating registrar' at the NSW Land and Environment Court in the late 1990s.
