Mediator Practice Network: Numbers, Money and Dollars in Dispute Resolution
Are Numbers just indicators of greater or less...?
Is Money always just fungible old money...?
Are Dollars always dollars or something more flexible...?
These questions are particularly important for dispute resolvers involved in disputes over the quantum of damages, or where other quantitative outcomes are involved – days of the week, percentages of ownership, weeks of payment, months of parenting, and many others.
Laurence Boulle will attempt to reframe these questions so they make more sense and give his assessment of possible answers to them, after carefully considering the views of attendees, in a stimulating interactive workshop. The session will focus in particular on how knowledge of numbers, money and dollars can be applied in dispute resolution situations.
Laurence is author of numberless books and has done uncounted numbers of mediations over (-b±√(b^2-4ac))/2a x ⅞ years.
Participants will be asked to answer the above questions at the end of the workshop, which will count for 96/139 of marks for final assessment.
You will receive 2.5 CPD points for the session.
