DR Forum's Annual Forum Day

On 14 May this year, you attended the DR Forum's Annual Forum Day.  During the afternoon on that day, three discussion groups considered a selection of issues relating to the Industry Forum's continued development.

Below for download are three proposals that were developed by the discussion group that was looking at the Forum's role, purpose and focus; each of the proposals includes the establishment of a sub-committee to oversee a selection of cooperative activities.  The Forum Steering Committee have agreed that the proposals be forwarded to that days' attendees.

The Steering Committee welcomes the submission of expressions of interest from Forum members keen to join a sub-committee and take an active role in establishing and overseeing the activities that have been identified.

The Steering Committee is aware that these proposals are important for the long-term development of DR in Australia and represent a valuable, practical contribution from the DR Industry Forum.

Expressions of interest can be emailed to either

Speech for Dispute Resolution Forum Anniversary

Welcome everyone to this celebration of the very first anniversary of what we have called the Dispute Resolution Industry Forum. For those that do not know me, my name is Katherine Johnson and I am the current president of ADRA, the Australian Dispute Resolution Association. ADRA is the only voluntary membership organisation in the Dispute Resolution landscape that can boast 30 years of continuous service next year, ie 2016. More details about that celebration closer to the time. For now, I hope to give you a brief summary of how we got to where we are as the DR Industry Forum and a brief outline of what we hope will assist you today to consider the possibility of creating a unified voice with which to approach Government about the needs and concerns of the DR industry both on a National and International basis.
