Sadly, Wendy Buchanan has passed away, leaving behind a legacy of dedication to her profession and those she served.
Wendy held a BA in Architecture from Melbourne (1966) and a Dip. in Voice & Drama from Trinity College London (1981). She also completed Hypnotherapy training at the NSW School of Hypnotic Sciences (1994), earned a Post Grad. Dip in Psychology from Macquarie University, Sydney (1998), obtained Certificates IV in Workplace Training & Assessment (Mediation) in 2004 and 2008 and was an Accredited Mediator under the National Mediator Standards since 2009.
Wendy was a skilled Psychologist with over 16 years of experience in counselling and psychotherapy, both in private practice and within corporate settings. She served as the Secretary of ADRA and was known for her expertise in facilitating management and professional development workshops across various sectors. As an experienced workplace coach, she provided one-to-one coaching to managers in both public and private sectors, helping them improve their management practices.
Throughout her career, Wendy specialized in assessing individual and organizational issues and recommending effective interventions to resolve problems. She recognized the potential of mediation in addressing workplace conflicts and pursued additional training to become a Grievance Investigator. Her commitment to fostering better outcomes through mediation culminated in achieving her Accredited Mediator status in 2009.
Wendy’s impact on her field and the lives she touched will be remembered with gratitude.
